I've played off and on since BL.
Haven't played since the Nighthold raid opened in the current expansion...however long that was ago.
Might pick it back up to see the Argus stuff and for the new expansion.
All my toons are on Archimonde.

I really enjoyed my time on WoW, but I don’t think there is any way I could ever go back.
I played Vanilla pre-AQ, but only made it to level 40. That old leveling took forever.
Came back at the beginning of BC, made it to 68ish. Looking back on my most recent level grind (in Cata), the whole area reeks of everything I hated about Vanilla. More running than questing, boring unappealing storylines, and just an endless grind.
In the end I got to the prison ship dungeon (had no time/patience for the raid) and dropped the game.
Came back at the end of WotLK, and disappointed I missed a fantastic quest area at its prime.
The CATA launch was jarring at first (The Paladin class used an entirely new mechanic), but then I entirely fell in love with the game/expansion. I enjoyed the new zones with their story driven quests (even the underwater one), I had so much fun leveling a new toon from level 1 I cried when I hit 60 and realized how fricking boring Outland was a second time through. I loved the strategy needed for the epic dungeons, because you were gonna die all afternoon if you didn’t use teamwork. I joined my server’s biggest and most active guild (until the leader disbanded it and left to another server). The expansion gets such a bad rep for how bad blizz then fricked up, two reworked dungeons with a zandalari patch and a really boring raid of the Firelands ended in disaster with the Deathwing LFR patch.
I came back at the end of MoP, which looked pretty fun when I came in, but apparently continued the same couldn’t keep up with expectations issues they’d had with the end of Cata.
WoD of course was an unmitigated disaster, glad I got in on the ground floor of that. I haven’t played since.

Thats a list of really shite experiences no doubt. But, legion is different. It is the best since WoTLK imho.
With the sale price purchase of legion of $20, you get a free boost to 100 (skips passed all expansion except for current content) you also get access to Demon hunter which gives you an exclusive questing zone only to that class and offers the most mobile class in the game yet. Gives you doublejump and on demand glide. Can Tank or melee dps.
All of the zones (including old leveling zones) scale to your level so you can pick any one to start in and quit if its boring to you and try a new one.
5mans scale past heroic using the mythic difficulty (think diablo rifts) and you get exclusive to your class quests and an exclusive weapon that you constantly infuse with power.

Just here to promote Lights Hope project....a very good vanilla wow private server that has one of the highest pops of any private server and is very close to the true vanilla experience. Recommended to all WoW fans

You use this thread to point out many of the current systems in game that were new to legion that you called "bullshite" etc.
The thread thing
I'm guessing something changed over the course of expansion launch up until now that has you subbed at the moment. Dont get my wrong, happy you seem to be enjoying it now
I railed on mechanics of the expansion not the game, and you said "threads" you provided one where I was clearly playing the game. I feel sad for you that you actually did the research and spent the time to find that.

I dont give a frick what you feel for me. You dont know me. You talked shite about the essence of things that make this expansion unique. Hence you shat upon the game.
Just go play some everquest and read some more Salvatore..you'll be fine.

Damn no one on Illidan???
I unsubbed a month ago. Hardly played it anymore. Legion required so much time that I didn’t have. If the next expansion is more loose then I might resub. I played Warlock/Shaman from Vanilla til now.

Just hit 60 and it looks like getting into some old school raids will be difficult without pre-made parties. Gay.

I played through BC wrath and quit during cata. Came back about a month ago and made a new toon on illidan, mostly just pvp and achievement whore.

Don't stress it too much. Keep leveling and you'll eventually be able to solo them if you just want to experience the content.
Right before I quit during Legion, I took my lvl 110 Prot Paladin and solo'd a ton of old raids that I never got to see. I could mow through anything from WoTLK and older, even on heroic level, without even losing health.

Being able to enter a raid solo is a relatively new thing. I feel like it kind of killed off pick up raids for achievements which were ran surprisingly often depending on your server, but it's nice to experience the content any time you want. Yes, a max level character can pretty much solo any raid from WoTLK (maybe even newer raids now) on down provided a mechanic didn't require two or more players.
