Well, finally on our own again, prime position to eat real food, and I´m too damned lazy to cook.

Founder´s Porter, may snack some, and to bed.

I hope I´m more inspired tomorrow.

No dinner. Had an awesome shrimp burrito for lunch, though. I see some time on the treadmill tonight.

Something from Rouse's. Not sure. Rotisserie bird, or ribs, maybe fried chicken and 7 or 9 beers.

I gotta eat light, I'm hittin' 18 in the morning and have to keep this girlish figure.

Good for you. We mamas like to feed our boys. Mine should be home for a visit next week. Roast 'n rice 'n gravy for him.

Tonight my husband is roasting some butternut squash (his new favorite dish) and making some hamburger steaks. Cuke, tomato & red onion salad to go with.

Threw a few burgers on the grill during the game. At least the burgers were good.

I love that. Now, it's my turn to ask YOU where are you getting good tomatoes, right now?

I'm having the best roast beef poboy in the state. Mine.

Wish I could say they were homegrown. My husband bought some Romas and some yellow tomatoes that are currently nameless (he didn't pay attention, just thought they looked good). No complaints from me.

I hope you didn't give your poboy the "Dee Dee" treatment.

MeridianDog (much love) style pic-show:

The main ingredients. I'll have you know that loin is fricking enormous btw:

The spices:

Completely eviscerated coffee beans to add to above:

Loin all caked up:

I have a WSM but I forgot the charcoal, so I used the parents shite grill. This is my attempt to mak it work. I took the woodchips I had and put them in a pouch, but I cut a giant hole in the middle and put it on top of the grill plate. If the wood doesn't ignite it doesn't matter. Well it ignited and it burned out in like 20 minutes, and I had to keep adding it. Without being a WSM snob this is why smoking on a grill/BGE =/= smoking on a WSM. I DIGRESS:

Near the end:

Sliced:

Not bad overall, pleased that the boudin wasn't dry, but if I would've been less lazy and brined it and gone back and gotten charcoal and WSM'd it it would have been significantly better. There was some smoke flavor but laughable compared to WSM. :IMHOFWIWBOOMGOESTHEDYNAMITE:
