This is my situation, too. (Not to mention, I'm the worst offender for knocking over glasses!)
I like the way the stemless glasses feel in my hand. I drink chilled chardonnay, but I usually drink the full glass before it has a chance to get warm.
To each his own. (I keep both stemless and stemmed wine glasses with much variety for guests to pick and choose.)

If that's what they wanted, then by all means, that's what you should get them. Some folks like the stemless very much.

My favorite wine glass is the full one. And my favorite hostess is the one who enjoys a full pour.
