Hey guys, I need some suggestions on what to do in New Orleans. I'll be headed out there during the evening of July 8th and I'll be out there until the late evening of the 9th. I booked a room at the Melrose Mansion.

Going to be hanging out with a love interest the entire time, so I'll be looking for lots of things for us to do.

TIA

It's New Orleans, it's all dangerous. I think I've been shot like twice. You can keep the bullets as souvenirs.

Good, they can't drive worth a shite and get in my way.

Relax, OP, you're fine. Give me some more direction. Are you looking for restaurants around where you'll be staying? You want more casual stuff or nicer things?

What kind of restaurants do you like? Are y'all more into drinking wine and listening to jazz or do you like traditional bars?

Don't listen to them.

I've lived my whole live in New Orleans and have never been shot.

I've had a few bullets come very close, but am still shot-free.

Also, I've been stabbed a few times.

Based on where you are staying, I would say take your woman to eat at Irenes and then after drinks at the Hotel Montleone rotating bar or at the little jazz venue at the Royal Sonesta.

If you want a more lively scene, you are very close to Frenchman Street. Go drink at DBA and see if their music excites you. If not, check out a few of the other clubs in the area.

The possibilities are endless.
