Has anyone seen it on shelves yet? What is the hold up with the release date? Seems like it keeps getting pushed back.

Released back in October from the distillery. Already hit the shelves and gone in Florida. Managed to find a bottle of the 12 and that's it.

Pappy doesn't come in 12 yr old. You got Van Winkle "lot B". Not quite the same.

I'm certainly aware of what I got and what Van Winkle makes. Thanks for the unsolicited and unnecessary clarification..

Dorignacs got it in earlier this week. They are sold out of the 15 year they were selling for $200. They still have some 20 year and 23 year bottles at $500 and $750.

Martin's Wine Cellar in Metairie has a 10 page waiting list and doesn't even put it on the shelves.

Dealing with the same issue in Tampa. Folks trying to sell bottles of the 23 for $1,000 each on Craigslist..

I purchased the 20 yr for $100 at Dorignacs 2 years ago. The 23 yr was listed for $300. The increase in price in just a couple years is absurd.

What a bunch of fricking assholes. MSRP for 15 is $89, 20 is $129, and 23 is $250.

I had a dream about finding Pappy last night so maybe that's a sign. My bottle of 12 year is getting low.

Hell, everyone has convinced themselves it is something it is not if they are giving 300 bucks for it, it is delicious I have had Just the 10 and the 15 but to my palate unless it was side by side with other top lines, I can't see the value other than to say "I got one"

Of course I wouldn't give 300 bucks for any liquor so I may be a shite judge of the inflated value

Agree, I'd never purchase a bottle for $300. $100 is enough. It makes no sense.

Louisiana just received their shipment to the wholesalers. Many liquor reps haven't actually been distributed their allotment. Most should have this week. If you didn't request a bottle from a retailer it's unlikely you'll find a 15 yr or better. Most are pre sold these days due to demand.

Why don't they just make more of it if demand is there? Doesn't make sense to me

In so many words, it perpetuates the allure and keeps the demand extremely high. The company is obviously aware of the demands, and tries to keep retailers close to their suggested retail price. Even going so far as to restrict sales in places that have attempted to price gouge.

I've asked this question before because I have a couple bottles of 15 and 20. What are they worth on the secondary market? If the numbers people are throwing up on this thread are accurate, I'll be selling!
