So I'm slowly going into Paleo diet. Seems like my hardest thing is breakfast mainly because it seems like the same food over and over. Looking for some different ideas.

Usually eggs in some form of scrambled or boiled with turkey sausage. I do plain yogurt with fruit or protein powder mixed in. Some Paleo people include oatmeal in their meals, others do not. Would definitely give another option.

I have green smoothies for breakfast. Spinach/kale, almond milk, banana, other fruit. Almond butter, dates.

I'm not a breakfast person so I usually don't want to chew food in the mornings. Drink helps me have a meal.

Tried bulletproof coffee? Grassfed butter and coconut or MCT oil blended in coffee. I do that sometimes. I've about got to the point where I don't even want breakfast.

I'm a breakfast person. Probably has a lot to do with me waking up at 4am and hitting the gym before work. So I usually eat something before work and then for my morning break around 8-9am.

You can't do yogurt or whey. - no dairy on paleo, bro.

There are some decent paleo pancake recipes out there.

Rethink breakfast - you don't have to have breakfast items for breakfast. A pork chop or chicken breast is just fine. Or whatever you want, so long as it fits the style.

That's right. If the cavemen couldn't have eaten it, you can't have it.
Here ya' go

I'm actually doing more of a zone diet and then plan to transition to Paleo. Not sure how I will be without milk and peanut butter, lol! Probably won't be able to do 100% paleo

I still allow myself to have a little milk and a good amount of greek yogurt. They agree with my blood type very well.

Natural Peanut butter is great but almond butter is a great substitute and isn't as "heavy" as PB.

You shouldn't be eating yogurt or oats on paleo. Google a paleo granola recipe and you can mix it with almond milk for cereal. Basically it's all nuts with none of the grains. You can have fruit too just in moderation. I usually make a frittata with sausage, onions, bell peppers, mushrooms, zucchini and a sweet potato then eat it for 4 days. It gets old but it's filling.

Does anyone know the recommended macros for paleo?

I'm getting answers all over the board.

They typically don't talk much about macros, but from what I understand, generally 40% protein, 40% fat, 20% carbs is ideal. Maybe upwards of 30% fat and 30% carbs depending on your goals

I used to eat avocados a lot for breakfast. Works wonders in holding you over. So much healthy fat and fiber

I don't think I could do paleo. I enjoy my cheese snacks way too much. IMO, straight keto is easier them paleo.

Better because you can eat meat and cheese? Sure... if that's what you like.

Better for you? No way.

Did any of you paleo people wake up in a cave, walk out of the tree-limb lean-to to take your morning piss, or get chased by a Saber Toothed Tiger? I love the paleo, but your not making it a lifestyle.
