I need 150lbs for this weekend.

I've spoken to a couple of the Google-obvious vendors but wondering if you guys had suggestions for some lesser known, better priced options. Doesn't really matter to me where they are coming from.

The place I was recommended just told me Select weren't available right now. Basically I think they were trying to ship us field run for Select prices.

Any tips/suggestions greatly appreciated. I'm not SUPER price sensitive although I'd like to keep it under about $4/lb (shipped).

They pick up from the docks and ship all over via air freight.

I ordered from them when I lived in WA State. Crawfish arrived the next day with very few dead.

Who have you spoken with and what prices were you quoted?

I'm not gonna openly slam a vendor by name because this could be just a one time thing, but we were told $1.85 a lb for a mix of small, medium and large. They said Select is not available because of 'season timing'. That sounds suspicious to me. Isn't this the HEART of the season?

$1.85 a lb isn't bad i suppose. Shipping is about $0.80 a lb. so right about $2.75-$3.00/lb shipped.

That's not a bad price at all, and very well might be our solution, but I have no idea what we are getting.

I am not opposed to spending $500-$600, I just want to know what to expect.

Thanks for all the input btw!

Unfortunately every wholesale fish company in the state sells those products.

Some folks I know have had good luck with this company. I can't vouch for them personally.

You could order some meatpies while you're at it.

I used lacrawfish.com two weekends ago for 40 pounds. They are pricier than what you said, but there wasn't a lot of dead ones and they tasted great. Pretty good size as well.

I used cajuncrawfish.com last year based on some threads from TD and they were great too, but they are a lot pricier than lawcrawfish.com when they were a lot cheaper last year.

Not bad at all. This time last year I paid $5 a pound shipped for selects from lacrawfish. They were huge and clean and all alive. You need to speak to someone today and get your order locked in for 5 sacks. These guys move crawfish, they don't leave them laying around hoping someone will call. I had to postpone my boil last year because I tried to wait til Wednesday for Friday delivery and everyone laughed at me.
