I just found out there is a great butcher not far from me. They have a ton of different types of meat (most I have never heard of). Any way, I am going to pick up a Boston Butt for smoking on the BGE for this weekend (per suggestions on this board) and wondered what others thought about the menu they have and what would be a good buy, what is good on grill or smoker.

Anything else I should be looking at picking up tomorrow?

I walked in there today and it is amazing. I am going back tomorrow since the butcher himself was gone for the day and they were about to close.

I wish they would put pictures next to each of those on the menu.

Garlic Bacon sounds awesome and somehow it is one of the more expensive items on the list

Edit: here are some good pics

Flipped through the menus, and oxtail is on one of them. Make your self one of the best meals with little effort involved, Osso Buco.

It is a casing free sausage or hot dog. They are prepared by putting the stuffing in a wrapper that is removed at the end of processing. In Louisiana one of the more common similar items is "seafood" based boudin.

I will admit I have some problems eating things that are odd such as Ox tail. I would make a horrible cajun. I normally stick with normal beef/pork cuts.
