how is it cheaper?

It's about 30 cents a cup. That's pretty freaking cheap.

cold brew coffee should never be brewed with hot water then chilled, it defeats the purpose of getting all the oils and slow brew process of cold water steeping the coffee.

Hot brew, uses 1 tbl to 1 cup of water. where as cold brew uses 1 cup of coffee to every 4-5 cups water for a concentrate.

Much more expensive.

It's cooler with a well ventilated...i.e. wide open attic. We just don't like cold ac.

so you use 4 tbsp. for 4 cups of water for hot coffee. you use 16 for 4 cups of cold brew. However, that's a concentrate mixed half and half with water or milk, so you are getting 8 cups of finished drink with the 16 tbsp., or back down to 8 tbsp. for 4 cups of finished drink

so roughly twice the "cost". I use quotes, because, like I said, I will have water and coffee at home anyways, so its not like I'm spending any money out of pocket.

either way, I think I will still be able to pay the mortgage
