so how exactly are they representing LA well in the National Beer Scene?
Well they are well represented as they have items that are highly sought after among trade groups. So by that extension on the national scene they are representing La extremely well.

I found some of their Cafe' au Lait Stout for the first time at Leblanc's on Jefferson about two weeks ago. Hopefully they will get their others in soon.

Thanks. That makes sense. I'm not into the trading scene, but know a few guys that are.

Didn't know that. I haven't tried any of them and would like to try that one, but haven't found it anywhere.

Good to hear that their IPA is decent. I had their Charming Whit and it was undrinkable and I never have found a beer I simply couldn't finish.

I like Tin Roof's newer offerings, they just need to go ahead and pretend that Blonde never happened. They could promote something like Parade Ground to flagship status and shore up that rotation a bit.

I've seen those high prices for Chappapeela Farms everywhere, but I snagged a bomber of the Farmhouse Saison at Acquistipace for $10. I thought it was quite good, but I don't have the most discerning saison palate.

They had cafe au lait and white boot at bin q eariler this week. Had the cafe au lait. Not a bad beer by any means but I like GB Korova a good bit more.

I don't know what's going on with Chafunktas distribution channels, but my local store that usually has it stocked has wiped the shelves clean of it. Kinda upset. Old 504 is my go to every day porter.

The Blonde is the best seller... by a pretty wide margin I'd wager.

I agree that this should be done. I wouldn't mind seeing Rusted Rye year-round as well.

I'd look for tin roof to be turning a major corner. I was by there recently. They're hiring a new head brewer, i heard they were looking for someone well trained in New England style DIPA's? Not sure if thats true. They also hired a dude from Ska. They're pretty serious about changing shite which is good because they need to.

Btw way whoever put nola in top tier needs to take there new orleans homer glasses off. Urban south makes better beer than them all the way around. Neither are top tier.

I put NOLA in the top tier because of their sour program and the one offs I've had in the taproom that have been really good

I don't care for any of their flagships, so I can see an argument for them not being top tier, I won't argue against it, but just justifying why I put them there

They did hire a new brewer recently, he came from Oregon, but not as a head brewer.

They also just hired a guy from Ska who starts in July, he'll be the cellarmaster and in charge of all the barrel aging... not sure what other duties, probably just helping with the brewing/packaging.

I did... and it's because of the sours, not the regular lineup. And also somewhat because of the taproom, seems like there are always a few variants when I go. If I was ranking though, they would be the bottom of my top tier.
