Used to frequent this location for lunch. Food quality started really going down and it didn't even smell clean in there. Hadn't been in a few months because of this. Still, wonder what finally did them in. Guessing health inspection.

Or to Mama Della's on the other side. Again, much better.

The food was nothing special, but they did have $2 margs on Wednesdays so that was great when I lived in those Jefferson Place townhomes next door

Only times I ever went there was for happy hour, the chips and salsa and margaritas were fine.

Just dont like that location of NYB, the bagels are dense and hard for some reason. They also do not have the Soho on the menu, which to me is their best sammich (Im pretty sure ive had everything on the menu)

Serious? Las Palmas was there for at least ten years, if not close to that.

Didn't Las Palmas replace Ground Patti (at least a decade ago)?

ETA: Beat to it. But yeah, never went to Las Palmas but wouldn't say it was jinxed when it lasted more than ten years.

I think there was another restaurant before Las Palmas. GP closed around 2000.

I live near there. I have been a few times but it has been a while. I find the food at Las Palmas to be average at best. Any Las Palmas is just about last on my list when I am looking to eat mexican food.
