Is Doe's eat place still open in BTR? And..

Is it any good?? Most of the ones ive tried are excellent but they don't seen to last outside of Greenville, not sure why.

Yes, they are still open.
And I'm a big fan of the place. Think they have the best steaks in Baton Rouge.

Well he stated why he doesn't like the place (valid reasons IMO) on here years ago and the owner tracked down his cell phone number and called him.

That is pretty odd. I still enjoy the food and atmosphere there, but man that would be awkward.

Doe's is excellent, IMO. Very nice atmosphere and great food. They also serve an excellent couple bottles of White Zin on the rocks.

That has happened more than once on this board.
Pay cash and wear non descript clothes if you want to complain in a bad way. A homely looking woman helps become invisible as well.
I like Does. Don't get there much though.

I don't like the owner and its not for what was stated in here.
Its not about the food either. The guy is a pos and did a very pos thing

I've never been to Doe's, so I really can't say anything good or bad about the place.
I just doubt I'll ever go for several reasons:
(a) Jones would never step foot back in there, so that takes away going with him
(b) I don't go out for steak as I don't like steak a ton. It's just okay to me
(c) IF I'm going to spend the money you spend at Doe's, I want to dress up and make a date of it. Sure, we have been eating and more and more nicer places lately and it's not as much out of the ordinary as it used to be for me.. but I still make it a nice date every time. $100+ to eat on a picnic table is just not my personal preference.
That said, I can understand it's niche and I see why some people like it.
