Most of the time I hate reviewing and just want to enjoy the damn beer.
This. I'm not worried too much about what I'm tasting, just if I like it. I'll rate the beers, the app I have gives it a score out of 100.

I'm concentrating on the 90 or so homebrews I have in my fridge. About 25 of them are Imperial Stouts that will have to wait til the temps cool off under 100. Last night I was sipping one of my IPAs and had to put ice in a big coffee cup and set my pint glass inside that to keep the beer cool. At 10pm it was still 102 and my Ac was slowly cooling the place down to the upper 80's.

Well, I didn't realize it was IPA day, but I was already planning to hit the food trucks and then hit up a bar or 2.
Knowing that we will be hitting up bars on Haight St. my selection will be limited, but I will likely have some
and
If I am lucky we may go to Magnolia Gastropub and Brewery which has some great IPAs. If we do, I will likely have:
Proving Ground IPA on draught
Spud Boy's IPA on cask

Which app did you get? There are several listed under "brew review".

Yes it does count, you just have to have another tonight. Rules are rules.
Seriously, could this day take any longer.

Question: Is this the 1st Annual International IPA Day?
Or has it been going on for years?

This was the first year I have heard of it, so I don't know.

Well, if this IS the first year, who's the idiot who scheduled it for a Thursday?

Some beer blogger started it, got a few breweries' social media presences to run with it, and boom, it's a full-fledged event.
I don't know why it's on a Thursday.

Need me to bring a few tasting glasses?

I have a LOT of pint glasses, but not a lot of 8-10 oz. tasting glasses, so if you have some, that might be pretty nice to have around. It's definitely easier to pick up an aroma when it's a glass closer to the size of the pour.

You need some small tulips or snifters.
BTW, a great source for these is Ducote Restaurant Supply on Fla Blvd. Stopped in a few weeks ago hoping they'd have some beer line and they had tons of cool glasses, and cheap too.

More like 4 oz glass tasters.
I'm trying to figure out what to do with my extra pint glasses now. Way too many crappy ones.

Interesting... like line for a CO2 system? Did they have what you needed? I really need to replace the lines on one of mine.

You can bring like 10 or 20 (not sure) back and get a free shirt. They give $1 for every two returned glasses to local Animal shelter or something.
