Went out to FQF today before the rain and had some really good eats. Started with a Crabmeat and Artichoke Heart salad from Jaque-Imos. Then I had a Shrimp Remoulade from Galatoires. Next was a chunk of boiled brisket from Tujaques, and finally a chocolate eclair from Haydel's. The rain put a damper on it today but I'm going back Sunday. Anyone else go today?

I'd love to go, but I just don't have the patience to wait in long lines to get food.

I'll be there on Saturday. Can't wait to sample the fare. GW Fins fish taco's were awesome year before last.

I've never waited more than 3-5 min in a food line at FQF. Most are under 1 minute

I don't mind waiting(if I have drink in hand or access to one), but I'm not waiting in line for much of anything over 10 minutes before ordering. I'm hoping FQF doesn't wear me out with the lines. Ill have some pictures for Friday and Saturday.

That's good. I was there 2 years ago and don't remember lines being terrible but we were there on Saturday between 11-5 and Sunday till 2.

Leaving right now to FQF. First time. Staying over night with wife.

Would you just eat there for dinner? Looks like a million choices.

Usually the lines aren't bad except for maybe in the Jackson square area at peak times. With this weather though, the crowds might be bigger than ever today and tomorrow though.

going in a little while. I always get the Crepes from Muriel's and BS with the Martins.

I like the Jaqque-Imo artichoke too. I like to go to the Mint and get some crawfish/and/or bbq from the joint. The walk along the river and look for dessert, usually a bread pudding. Then grab my art (I try to get one piece of art every time I go to the quarter, like $40-50) Makes nice gifts or room fillers.

This may be my only day as I have to go the Strawberry fest Sunday.
