*Five Guys prices are insane, to some. Others disagree. Some fear it will make them fat

Title edited for clarity.

I’m sure this is common knowledge, but I don’t eat 5 Guys often. Really the only time I’ve ever eaten it was in airports, where you’re accustomed to getting gouged. Me and small ball just stopped at one in West Monroe. 2 bacon cheeseburgers, 1 regular fry, 1 hot dog, 1 medium milkshake. $40. Holy shite!

I went a couple years ago and was shocked by how expensive it was for a fast food place

How do they stay in business? You can get a restaurant meal cheaper than that.

I feel violated. You shouldn’t spend $20/head on lunch at a place that doesn’t offer beer smh

Not only that, they don’t season their patties. At all. When I read that, I realized why I always found their burgers lacking.

Doesn’t sound that outrageous to me. Whether it’s worth it or not is a matter of opinion I suppose.

Didn't you notice the prices before ordering? They don't lock the door behind you.

2 little hamburgers
1 regular fry (to split)
2 drinks

$11/ head that would feed most normal sized adults

Ya did add an extra patty, cheese, and bacon to the burgers, an extra hot dog and a milkshake

That's why they stack all that junk on top of them so you don't notice what you're eating is nothing more than Sonic.

No. I sent my kid in and told him to get me a bacon cheeseburger and fries. Which he did. And came back with a receipt for $40.

That is easily enough food for 3 people....... So $13 a head for lunch..... A little stiff for a burger joint, but it is much better than the other major burger joints.

I’ve said this in other threads, but you shouldn’t label something “little burger” if it’s actually a standard adult sized burger. The name gives anyone who hasn’t been there the impression that it’s the children’s menu. It’s intentionally misleading.

Once you’ve learned, though, yeah it’s not as a bad deal.

You shouldnt need to get enough to feed a family of 4 for lunch. Yes, it's a little high, but you also bought like 10,000 calories of food

Little bacon burger with little cajun fries and a drink is 13$ for me. And its worth every penny. Nothing on their menu is overpriced.

Why? Because I think that $40 for food enough to feed three people isn’t outrageous? I rarely eat at those types of places(I occasionally get Shake Shack), but you kind of have to know going in that they’re not a value meal type place.

Again, I don’t think you’re getting some great value, but I don’t find the prices shocking.

I got a fricking burger and fries and drank it with a bottle of Ozarka. Where is this huge quantity of food you’re talking about. A 14 year old got a burger and a hotdog. Are you people that big of poons?

Right

And every AM they’re chopping fresh produce, making patties, slicing potatoes, and they’re staffed enough to get you that food in 5 minutes. Someone has to pay for that
