FBD was a Ballast Point Calico Amber

I cannot find an Amber Ale that is anything more than meh. Guess it's just not my style of beer.

time for hops:
SBD is Racer 5

I've had it both ways! When I had a whole can to myself and did not have to share I followed the instructions on the can and from rutiger. It was great either way.

Bought a bottle of the beer I tasted on Wednesday. Had to let the SO get to taste it too. What a beer!

My brother's homebrew club made their annual bourbon barrel brew. Russian Imperial Stout aged in a bourbon whiskey barrel for 6 months. Tastes unbelievable, but I can't see drinking more than one of these....

6 months is a long time for a homebrew. Probably boozy and rich?

It's very rich and high ABV around 10.5% I think.

ETA: I get a lot of roasty/toasty, vanilla, oak, and bourbon.

Online reviews sound fantastic. What did that bottle set you back? Kriek is fun to say.

Just met rutiger at Mike the Tiger's habitat for a beer exchange. I will leave yours at the map museum.

S, T, FBD : more yuengling. Sticking with the cheap stuff. I did just make a run and pick up some good stuff, but I'll probably save it to bring home.

Followed the Canebrake with a Chainbreaker by Deschutes. Not really my kind of beer.

Kim, that bottle was $41 at the avenue and $36 at Steins (yes, we bought another bottle at steins)

Oh, and we're drinking a divine reserve and a Gnommegang and watching the sunset at the barley oak.
