So...I just left Flying Saucer. Get back to the parking garage, and see there's a truck next to mine where the headlights are still on and is still running. Think "Oh well", and as I'm backing out of my parking spot, see some dude in the back seat laying on his elbows...kissing someone or something.

I suppose good for him?

FBD at home finally is a Spike & Jerome's collaboration ale (Terrapin and BFM). OMG this is bad. I think the seal was compromised and it is flat and oxidized. It will be tetued shortly.

SBD: Hopitoulas
3-4: High Life's

Took a Hopitoulas to walk the dog got to the bar and realized I didn't have my wallet. Had to drink high life's with the couple bucks I had in my pocket. Deciding on next beer back home.

So I finished the Abrasive. Sipping on the rest of the Double Jack now. Still just 2BD. But what a glorious day. Contemplating doing a head-to-head with Furious and Wooky Jack next.

It's a really hard call. Really hard. They're actually very different flavor profiles. I suspected Double Jack included some combination of Cascade and Centennial because of the strong citrus notes. I'm generally REALLY partial to those. And I really love this Double Jack. With the Abrasive, I nailed the Citra but was kinda struggling to identify the Warrior. I think Abrasive is a more nuanced flavor profile, a more complex beer.

My verdict is that for an FBD Abrasive is the winner. If it's going to be my 3rd or 4th where I'm less concerned with picking up each subtle note, give me Double Jack.

Either way, damn, these are some awesome beers.

Nice review yeezy.

Replacement FBD is an Endeavor. A little less than 2 months old and still rocking.

Yet another reason to check BA before buying a bottle you don't know anything about. Rookie mistake.

I really think this one must have been oxidized. It was f'ing undrinkable.
