Wow... This is really good. I might try to seek out another bottle or two of this if it's still floating around town

SBD. Meh. And for the guy in another thread who said "meh" was a bullshite response made by people who aren't good enough to critique a beer, this beer is meh because of it's malt backbone. I'm not digging the toffee, and I'm not a guy afraid of some malt in his IPAs.

shite
I picked one up today. I almost passed on it though. Guess I should have

BMoney, I don't have the vocabulary to really explain my thoughts on beer I don't think. I thought the Whiplash was very crisp, and not too hoppy for me. It was right in my wheelhouse.

Just keep trying new beers and have fun with it. I run out of words, too. It's funny how you can look at reviews from two different people and will say the exact opposite thing about the same beer. So there's a lot of BS out there, too,

There's also a lot of tasty beers and a really top notch, well brewed beer can totally change your mind about a style that you thought you didn't like. Stay thirsty, my friend.

FBD and sbd were/are cask pours of Parish Export Stout with roasted coconut, vanilla bean, and coco nibs.
Holy shite. This doesn't taste like a small treat batch. This thing is legit. This seriously could and should be mass produced. The regular export stout is on tap but my buddy said not to try it because it's nothing special. They have the coffee one at Avenue next week. Then a peanut butter version as well. And a few other interesting combos.
My friend also could not confirm, nor deny, that there may be export stout adding in Bourbon or wine barrels.

And he tasted the barrel aged grand reserve today. His words "fricking amazing"

Update on this cask. Parish does 1 or 2 a week. They rarely, if ever, sell the entire cask. This cask has been tapped for 2.5 hours and just went empty.
Just saying, this shite was good. Really good. I know I'm a Homer, but all bias aside, dammit baw!!

Was told today in Hattiesburg that 16 total cases went out. 8 to Hattiesburg and 8 elsewhere, mainly Jackson. So dont hold your breath. And Coater, I would call before I go back tomorrow, but hopefully I'm wrong. Great snag today, there s literally none left in Hatty

Nice! I'm gonna do some more digging around tomorrow. May call McDade's first thing and see if they got any. Talked to the lady (manager maybe?) @ H&H today when I was picking mine up and she said there was some tomfoolery with the salesmen and distributors not getting cases to where they were supposed to go. Par for the course for that outdated middle-man industry.

FBD - SPB Mississippi Fireant

Very flavorful. Nice burnt caramel sweetness, bready mouthfeel, and generous hoppy bitterness to balance. Pairs very nicely with my grilled chicken sandwich. SPB is doing nice work.

Definitely check out mcdades on northside. Even if they don't have the ba hipster theyve got growlers of so pro ragana porter that is worth grabbing. Also had fresh timber beast and plenty of mystery romp when I went by there yesterday.
