Does anyone bless a basket for Easter...

it is a European thing. 20 years ago I moved north and at Mass a week before Easter priest gives announcement about blessing baskets. So the Croations, Yugoslaves, Russians etc put salt, butter, sausage, wine, bread, ham etc in basket , nhring to church Saturday before Easter and Priest blesses them all.
Just got back from having our blessed. Definitively not a S. La. thing.

Croatians and Yugoslavic peoples are Balkans not Baltic, that is the wrong end of Europe.
