I've owned several pieces of bourgeat for nearly 15 years now. Back then Bourgeat, Mauviel, and Falk were the high end coppers of note. I used to see Bourgeat stainless in commercial kitchens back then. There may have been some consolidation of these brands now. Not sure.
I love my bourgeat. Heavy as cast iron though. Made to last several generations. Hope my daughter learns to cook a little more and better.
