Just got a coffee bean grinder someone got me, from my registry. What's the best beans, and grinding settings for a good cup of joe?

For best beans, it seems that freshness makes a big difference. See if you can find a place that is roasting there own stuff onsite.

A burr grinder is what you want, as opposed to a blade. The grinding settings depend on what kind of coffee/machine you're using. Fine for espresso, med for drip, coarse for french press.
