Changed the thread title.

I have a CAO MX2 in my pocket. Can't find time today to give it a try.

It is very dark and smells like Mint Chocolate. Can't wait.

MX2 is an excellent Maduro. The CX2 is actually one of my favorites also. If you like Maduros, have you had a Rocky Patel Vudu yet? Also, I assume you have had a LP#9 before?

Never heard of him, but that humi is beautiful. A vendor, specialty lumber mill, made one for me, my boss, and a coworker and gave them to us out of the blue. Unbelievable gift. They had some leftover wood from a 150yr old barn torn down in Pennsylvania(a client of there's shipped it to them and had them make a few doors out of it) and he had his guys hand make them for us out of the scraps and lined them with spanish cedar, added hidden hinges, a tray, etc. All of the old rusty nail holes and grains are in the wood and what not. Not as much detail as the Barndog one of course, but still pretty cool.

Liga Privada #9 is one of, if not the, finest cigar on God's green Earth. In my opinion, definitely the finest Maduro made. I am fairly sure you can only get the RP Vudu's on CigarMonster/Famous Smoke Shop. You can usually pick up a 5 pack of toros for 16 or 17 shipped on cigar monster mash-up.

AVO

Wss at the cigar store yesterday and a guy in there said AVO was his go to brand.

The proprietor recommended La Aroma De Cuba. I bought one for a friend and one for myself. Will post later about them.

I was a bit disappointed in this one. It seemed a bit harsh. It may be that I have been used to the CT wrappers and this was just more full bodied.

Sort of like trying an IPA for the first time after a lifetime of lagers.

True maduros from Connecticut wrappers should be mild to medium. If it is jet black, it's likely artificially treated and oiled to achieve the color. My go to is an Ashton maduro #40, not very strong and delicious.

La aroma de Cuba is a nice smoke owned by Ashton/fuente and the Avo is made by Davidoff. Both are solid smokes with the la aroma being the more affordable of the group.

Liga Privada #9

My local smoke shop didn't have it. Will look at some more places.

I had my second Man O War Virtue yesterday and I am finding it to be very nice.

The LP#9 are a little harder to come by these days. The price has def gone up also due to supply and demand.

I have had a few virtues and find them to be pretty good, and I am not a Connecticut fan by any stretch of the imagination.

I had an El Baton yesterday that I picked up from a local place and loved it just as much as the past times I have had them. They are not sold at any of the major online retailers I use and are a little hard to find in stores also. So, when I saw the new place by my house had them I picked up a few. Really good cigar in the 6-7/stick price range.

Just ordered 40 toro cigars for 27.50 shipped at CI.com. PDR Fumas. I don't care if they aren't great for that price I couldn't pass it up. Even if just to fill the humi and have something to give to friends.

For you CAO lovers, they offer a 4-pack of international flavors for around $20 if you can find them. I have gotten them at Specs here in Houston.

Swung by Habana Port a couple days ago and picked one of these new smokes from Alec Bradley. Looking forward to trying it.
