that does not serve hot muffalettas

...but they serve theirs cold...I like my cheese molten and I'd feel bad about heating up one of theirs.

Sorry, if you walk outside it gets hot pretty fast. I've never eaten it there.

I'd say a fair amount of po boy places and casual lunch spots serve muffalettas hot

Yes, but not all mufalettas are created equaly. There are dozens of places to get one in BR, but maybe just 1 or 2 that are worth a damn.

They aren't near you nor are they hot, but both Dorginacs on Vets (not terribly far), World Deli on W Esplenade (far), and Nor Joes right off Metairie Road (not far) have good muffelattas. I actually find it kind of hard to find "hot" muffelattas in the city.

Because I'm trying to support myself fully on an intern's salary...a Jewish intern's salary.

I'm an intern at a local construction company, $12/hr and I have to live on it and hopefully have some leftover.

Sure, I could do better. That's why I'm employed there rather than the other 200 places I applied to in the last year, most of which would allow me to live with my parents rent free and have all of my meals paid for. Instead, I took the job with the only company to offer me one, and it pays $12 per hour and requires I either live in the city or commute from the aforementioned parents' house. I chose the former, because it allows me to have much more fun...and I found a place that charges much less in rent than I would be paying in gas. However, I still need to cover food. So, I'm looking for cheap, delicious places where I can buy lunch and have half leftover for dinner, so I can not be completely broke.

4 BR sublet. $350 per month, utilities included, non-ghetto neighborhood. I just couldn't pass that up.
