So the food at Champps was bad??

In other shocking news, water is wet.

I heard they were closing. I hope it's true. There's no reason why a shitty restaurant needs to be in the same shopping center as other very good ones.

They'll probably just replace it with another chain as Baton Rouge always does, like an Olive Garden.

Towne Center may have chains, but they are "upscale"..they wouldn't accept an Olive Garden for their target demographic.

Not sure how upscale Gap and Qdoba are. What would keep Olive Garden out of Towne Center is more likely to be the fact there's already one Italian chain restaurant there (Carrabbas).

i agree its not the greatest place in the world but i would hate to see it close down and nothing else open there for a year or 2. if another restaurant comes in to replace it then i am all for it, but i just really hate seeing abandoned buildings in an area like that. with that being said, they are way overpriced for the quality of their food and beer.

If they're going to put in a chain restaurant, a Cheesecake Factory would do well there.

The only resonably priced things at champps are the mile high nachos(9 bucks) and the ice cream pie(also9 buck). everything else there is not worth it. if you can throw around a little more money the mongolian eggrolls are pretty good.

True, Qdoba is lacking as is that Zoes's joint sans their chicken salad. Also good point, they will not have another Italian place due to Carraba's..of which is better.

A Cheesecake Factory would do gangbusters, and absolutely clean up in Towne Center..and unlike Copeland's Cheesecake..their menu food is actually pretty good..Copeland's Cheesecake place sucks sans the desserts.

I remember when this place first opened and everybody was getting hard ons over them. We went a little bit after they opened and had probably one of the top two worst experiences we've ever had at any restaurant.

Why won't an ESPN Zone come here? If Champps was to close, that would be a great location for them.
