Coming in this weekend for a family gathering. Not going to have a ton of time, but will try to get somewhere to meet with friends and have a few beers at some point. Who currently has the best tap list in BR?

TIA.

Edit: I'd like to go to Tin Roof because I've heard on here they have gotten much better since I moved 4-5 years ago, but don't know if I'll have a chance to this trip.

Corporate Brew & Draft

Chimes

Olive or Twist only has 8 taps, but they are always really good.

It has the atmosphere of a junior high school art show, but the tap list is really good.

Corporate has the best tap list
Bulldog is the best beer bar overall
Olive or Twist has a small tap selection but for the most part its very good

Judging from your situation, I would pick Bulldog, especially if the weather is nice. Their patio is the best in BR to have a beer

Olive or Twist always has solid taps

Bulldog has tons of taps and a nice patio

CBD if you want to drink in a dentist office

Yeah Bulldog may make the most sense. I was just seeing if anything new was out there worth trying out.

All these are solid options. Here are the current beer lists:

The Bulldog

Chimes LSU

Corporate Brew & Draft

Overpass Merchant

Good luck finding Olive or Twist's beer menu.

It's just to the left of their liquor shelf... pretty easy to find really.

Thanks for the info.

I'm pleased and impressed that places in BR are starting to get their hands on a few Grimm bottles.

CBD is the best, if you are just looking for beer. Atmosphere is very bland. The manager posts here and is interested in listening to suggestions for improving it. They've tried many things, i just think the location sucks and the layout is a bit off.

Olive or Twist has a small rotating list, but excellent choices. Has a cool bar layout, and some good food.

Chimes has a pretty good list, and it's large. But a lot of it is stuff you can find anywhere. Food is great, and great atmosphere.

Bulldog is a good bar, with a decent beer list. I find their beer lines should be changed out or cleaned. But it has a nice patio.

This is from a guy who goes to a bar about 1/month and its for day drinking purposes.

My preference is CBD because i'm a beer nerd, but i'm often overruled by my friends for a better atmosphere, and we end up at bulldog so we can smoke cigars.

God forbid they publicize what's currently on tap via one of the many websites or social media outlets available.

I know what you meant... but honestly I can tell you that I've checked those many web sites or social media sites before going somewhere exactly zero times in my life.

I know Olive or Twist is going to have some good options on tap... same with the other places you listed.

Yeah I think Bulldog and Chimes is more about quantity of taps over quality. Whereas Olive or Twist does it the other way around.

But the space at Bulldog does make it an enticing option, simply because if we're going to have 10-12 people getting together Olive or Twist it would not be as easy to find a place to sit.

I'm pretty sure they are on beermenus.

Not the draft list. I can look up what expired bottles and cans they have though.

I don't know if you've been recently, but they have expanded and purchased the adjoining space. Now granted, that is just table tops and has more of a restaurant feel on that side, as opposed to the bar side.

No it's been a while since I've been (maybe 3-4 years) - didn't know they had expanded.

Just saw that. Well if you go there for lunch, ask them to update their list. Or to switch over to taphunter. I find that to be a much better layout than beermenus.
