Why do people have to put down people that drink bud light or the other cheap beers like that.I have been around people that put other guys down because they like more expensive beer because they have more money and i dont get it.

IDK either. PBR, Lone Star and Miller/Bud light are great at times. PBR is probably my favorite to drink with crawfish, light doesn't overpower with hops etc.. and I can drink about a case during the day.

The Hill country and had Shiner on tap. It was unbelievably good. one of those moments when you realize there is a different way of doing it.

My father in law always tells us about how shitty Shiner beer used to be. they literally couldn't give it away. His exact words tasted like what you would expect sunk arse and piss to taste like.

I'm a beer snob, in the sense that i won't drink bud light, budweiser, coors, etc...

But i do not put down people who drink it. Drink what makes you happy. But, i will try to get my friends to try craft beers when i can. I try to convert them, but never condemn them.

I just saw this thread and was going to post something like this.

Miller/Bud and the word "great" should never be used in the same sentence. There's a reason they have to make funny commercials and use gimmicky bottles and cans. There's never any focus on the taste of the beer. You know why? Because it's tasteless swill.

And there's never a good reason to drink a case of beer in one day.

The thing I don't like about a beer snob is they will tell me that what I'm drinking tastes like shite. To me, it tastes good, and I'm drinking it. I'm not making you drink it.

The beer snob who belittles the bud light drinker is an amazing specimen that I refuse to associate with.

I don't consider somebody who drinks lots of different beer or expensive beer a beer snob. They are just somebody who likes different beers. The one who belittles those who drink what he thinks tastes bad/is too cheap is a beer snob to me. And he can DIAF.

I disagree, when your day is 18hrs of cookin on a pit there are plenty of reasons.

I agree

But I have also experienced a lot of insecurity from light beer drinkers as well, without me ever saying a word about their beer of choice. I'll order something different at a restaurant, or bring a craft beer to a party, and I get "Oh what are you, to good for Bud Light now? fricking beer snob!"

Elitists bother me. Its like this in everything though. Not just beer. Booze, food, cigars, music, movies, guns, cars, etc. etc. etc.

There is this obsession with having or enjoying "better" things than everyone else. Its really quite offensive.

Let people enjoy what they enjoy, and stop being a dick about it.

I like craft brews, but sometimes I just want a Corona or a Coors Light after cutting the grass. Sometimes I want a Bud heavy with my sandwich. I like getting a good clearance deal on a quality cigar for $2. I like having a car that I don't give a shite about getting scratched. Stop judging me.

I drink coors light on the regular. If I'm not drinking that it is most likely Shiner.

I don't always drink imports, but when I do it is dos equis
Seriously though, I don't drink many imports and they are usually mexican beers when I do drink them.

Went to Costa Rica recently and drank their beer, Imperial. Pretty good stuff
