Anyone use MSG? Accent?

Just wondering the food boards opinion of this secret little ingredient. Please advise. May try it in some hamburger steaks.

I've used it before on a few occasions

I don't think it's necessary but it doesn't hurt

I have a special blend I use. Has porcini, kombu, various dried seafood, and some things I can't say
