The shoulder injury makes me nervous. Seems like that could linger for a running back.
Couple that with him dropping passes and Tarik Cohen catching a crap ton of passes, it doesn't look too great.

Got an offer on the table for Marshawn for Howard and thinking about taking it

Why would this dude wanna trade Lynch for Howard?

Is he trying to buy low on him?

Man, I guess. I'll probably throw in some crappy inconsistent receiver I'd never start.

Guy is trying to buy low on Howard. I actually don't think this is a lopsided trade. Howard has much more upside than Lynch, but there's obviously that chance that this injury lingers and he's not effective. He's taking a risk here. For you, it's also a good move so you can avoid the weekly tough decision.

he's a plodder in an offense that looks really bad, I think lost a few OL this past week, has an awful group of WRs, and has lost his passing down work to a better receiving back. Oh yeah he's also banged up already.

Lynch looks as powerful as he did before and is running behind a fantastic OL in what looks to be a top offense.

Much more upside?

Hit accept immediately. Bears are awful, Howard has a lingering injury and a good rookie creeping up on him. Lynch also has good players behind him, but he's healthy and in a dynamic offense where they should be ahead late in the game and handing the ball to Lynch to put the game away

Yes. Lynch is performing right now at about his peak - high end RB2. He could keep that up or he may regress, but I doubt he takes a jump into that elite echelon. He's a good weapon on a great offense, but he's just one of a bunch of weapons, so it's very doubtful he takes some big leap back into elite fantasy RB territory.

Howard, on the other hand, was expected to be an RB1 this year with that potential to jump into the elite category - mainly because of his (expected) huge role in that offense. So far, it hasn't worked out that way. But Howard is the most talented back on that team and probably the team's best/only offensive weapon. If he's healthy, I'd expect him to get most of the team's RB work and by usage alone, have a chance to jump back into that top 5-10 RB category. Will that happen? Who knows, but it's certainly a realistic possibility and it's the reason he was drafted highly this year.

So, Howard definitely has more upside than Lynch, but he comes with a lot more risk. Lynch looks to be a safe RB2.
