You could have gotten Utley for dirt cheap in the offseason. I was trying to give him away and keep Swisher instead.

he says himself he has no clue when he'll be ready. Everything anyone ever says about him when they see him in person is negative. Horrible trade.

I was surprised when he mentioned getting picks since I think his team could compete.
Beckett, Bumgarner, Cueto, Gio, & Leubke is a solid staff and I didn't think his lineup was terrible (especially if Harper makes it up).

bumgarner is only one of the top 5-7 young pitchers in baseball. At least he got an old 2B who will never play a full season ever again in his career

What're you playing for? The trade even with picks is terrible on your end. I have 3 2bs that are better options than utley at this point of his career. Did you even shop around? Man I need to just start throwing some wingnut shite out there to see what will stick.
