Next time you think you have the best regular season team, try reading one of these articles:

Is it really going to upset you guys that much if we simply try this payout structure for a year and see what we think at the end?

We've tried it the old way and the last two years a 8-5 and 7-6 team have won $850.

For you precious playoff lovers out there you can still win half the entire pot for getting hot at the end, so chill.

Let's roll with this and see what the results give us at the end.

Playoffs
1st- $600
2nd- $250
3rd- $50

Points Race
1st- $300

I'm arguing against the whole concept of "playoffs" if you haven't picked up on that yet, new guy.

Why can a team totally crush the league all year, get a BYE but if they slip up just ONE fricking week in the 2nd round of the "playoffs", oh well you get $0.

The system is flawed. I'm not planning my fricking draft around week 2 of the "playoffs." You can keep your fantasy "expert" articles brah.

You are arguing for participation trophies, removing all the competition that comes with competing for a championship. You must have never played sports to want to remove the championship.

I know that in one league I play in we award weekly high scoring team.

I think this concept is fair and competitive. It gives every team a chance to win some $$$$ each week just like each team has a chance to win the championship at the beginning.

I'm cool with taking $100 from 1st place winner and giving it to team with most points at end.

However I have never done a league that awards the team with most points.

Hell last year I scored 400 more points than than person who scored the second most points and I didnt even make the playoffs. I didnt complain though because that's fantasy football

I'm arguing for 25% of the prize pool to be set aside for the owner that manages his team(via draft, trade, waivers) to put up more total points than any other team that year.

I'm not trying to take away your precious "championship" game. Like I said, you can still win 50% of the prize pool for going 7-6, making a sweet waiver move you read about on your cool website and going 3-0 in the all important "playoffs."

If you win the "playoffs" AND score the most points then you can win the highest amount of money this league has ever paid out...$900.

Yeah, well I am complaining. Let's try and change that thinking and at least attempt to see how it works out.

Y'all that scared of change huh?

Weekly highest points doesn't mean shite. To consistently put up high points for 16 weeks and then at the end have more points than any other team is the much better way to do a points payout.

Since were talking change this year I’d like to throw out there that we make TE a premium this year at 1.5 PPR.

It’ll take some serious drafting and managing your team if we do this.

Actually it does because if your team has the most weeks as the highest scorer than you’ll end up with some $$$

What if a persons team constantly is the 2nd or 3rd highest scoring team week in and week out. Some other teams have shite weeks making that team the overall highest scoring team for the year.

Should a team that averaged the 2nd or 3rd highest score week end and week out be rewarded with highest yearly scoring team for being steady but not spectacular.

Just asking.

I’ll bow out I’m not voting yay or nay. I don’t give a shite what the payouts are. I could care less if we only award 1st and then highest scoring team.

I play fantasy football because I enjoy the excitement it adds to the games each week and let’s me pit my management style against other like minded players.

That’s why I joined a dynasty league this year. I won’t to see how I manage a team against others.

I just need to know who to send my dues to and when we’re drafting.

One thing at a time, Bulldog. I'm not done fighting for this.

Yall need to explain what it is about this payout structure that isn't fair.

Playoffs
1st- $600
2nd- $250
3rd- $50

Points Race
1st- $300

Last year the team that was 7-6 regular season, won the playoffs and was 3rd in overall points would have won $600.

The team that was 11-2 regular season, got bounced 2nd round but was 1st in overall points would have won $300.

How are those not fair payouts based on the performance of the owner/teams last year?

$300 is still too much in my opinion.
The points leader normally will get a bye in the playoffs which is a huge advantage.

I think $100-$150 is a very fair number

You're hung up over $150?!

One week determining a $600 swing in payout is just silly.

What's $150 more?

Like I said, you win both then you win $900.

It's like you guys WANT the luck factor involved.

Can we all step out of our fantasy football comfort zone a bit and just try this for one year?

Now I'm asking politely. Please?

We can easily change it the following year if it produces some unfavorable results. (But it won't)

Playoffs
1st- $600
2nd- $250
3rd- $50

Points Race
1st- $300
