Pick 2 keepers... toughhhh
10 team PPR --- everything standard but 2 points for every 25 return yards (punt or kickoff)
- 3 man keeper league

for sure keeping:
Demaryius Thomas (giving up a 7th round)

HELP PICK 2:
Montee Ball (4th round)
Alshon Jeffery (6th round)
Keenan Allen (11-13th round)
Cordarelle Patterson (11-13th round)
Jeremy Maclin (11-13th round)

I've got an idea, but what do you experts think?

re: Pick 2 keepers... toughhhh
tempted to say Patterson because of the return yard aspect

but most would say Ball

Yea I'd probably roll the dice on Patterson even without the return yards.

And then Ball

Easy. Patterson and Ball.

Basically getting a 6 points head start per game with Patterson just from return yards.

ETA:
How are your keeper values set? In what league did you have to draft Alshon around the 6th round? And how does DT have a lower cost (7th rd.)?

Double check that they'll still have Patterson returning kicks. If so I think he's an easy choice. Would prob keep Jeffery along with him. Not sure you want to keep both Patterson & ball considering neither have proved anything.

You wouldn't be hesitant keeping 3 wr?

Would rather do that in a 10 team league then possibly wind up with 2 marginal players.

Well I guess I won't ask for your opinion on my draft from Saturday.

Yeah but in a 3 keeper league, unless he's picking at the front end of the first, good RBs are going to be scarce. He needs to take what he can get and Ball in the 4th is pretty good value, seeing as he has a 1st round ADP.

Plus I don't think the WR core of DT, Alshon and Patterson is strong enough to carry an average/below average RB group.

Based on value, I'd keep Allen and Patterson. Draft running back heavy in the first few rounds.

You're welcome.

Thomas, Patterson, and Allen is a pretty stout wr group.

Also having Ball & DT plus still having your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd round pick is setting yourself up pretty nice. Even if Ball bust, which at a fourth round price, I don't think he will.

I knew you wanted in half on that side bet.

Can someone unsell me on Keenan Allen? Pretty high on him this year, and hoping he falls to me in round 3. Opposite of you guys I guess.

I'd go Montee Ball and Keenan Allen.

The decision whether or not to keep ball hinges on what other running backs are being kept / will be available to you in the first 4 rounds. You already have a WR 1 in Thomas in the 7th round. So if you are able to get a top tier running back in the 1st, likely keep Ball in the 4th. Snag a top WR/TE/QB in the 2-3. If you go TE/QB in 2-3, keep Allen. If you get a WR in 2 or 3, keep Patterson for the return yards, as there will be plenty of value at WR still before the 11-13th round given Patterson's uncertainty.

Montee Ball and Patterson

Keenan Allen and Ball would be my choices in a league without these settings.

I'm not saying they will be marginal. But I'd only gamble on one, not both.

Would be hard for me to keep both based on potential alone.

Decided to score them with your settings.

Keenan Allen:

Receiving:
71 recs
1046 yards
8 tds

152.6 fantasy points

Punt returning:
15 atts
125 return yards

10 fantasy points

Cordarrelle Patterson:

Receiving:
45 recs
469 yards
4 tds

70.9 fantasy points

Rushing:
12 atts
145 yards
3 tds

32.5 fantasy points

Kick returning:
43 atts
1393 yards
2 tds

123.44 fantasy points

In 2013, Keenan Allen scored 162.6 points and Patterson scored 226.84 points in your settings. I stand corrected on my earlier post.

Your return settings are stupid, but you should draft straight kick returners.

Patterson is not marginal in these settings. Even with a lesser year returning kicks, he is a virtual lock to score 100+ points from returns alone. Of course, I am avoiding him in normal leagues.
