They have to count it. Didn't david wilson get points last week for a return TD off a punt/kick off?

How the frick does that not count? He was on offense. The ball never changed possession. If I lose because of this, I will never use ESPN for FF.

I mean the ball never changed hands, it really not even a fumble. Basically a pitch that bounced.
They have to count it, people will go nuts if they don't

Luckily Hernandez just made it irrelevant for me but sorry if it screws anyone else. It really is total BS not to count it.

Wait, why didn't they count his TD? I must've missed something.

Just read this off of ESPN fantasy forum

dtroit34
Its not a fumble 'recovered' its a fumble 'returned' and therefore won't count. Just got a response from ESPN.

We apologize for the confusion. Frank Gore will only receive credit for the fumble he returned for a TD if the scoring category is selected under Defensive Players. This is because he physically returned the ball for a TD, instead of recovering it for a TD. Players will only receive points for a fumble recovered when selected under the Miscellaneous category if they fall on the ball in the end zone to score a TD. Please check your league settings to see if this is the case.

this is bull shite, they need to manually change it, he scored a TD on a play designed for him, who cares how it happened?

It doesn't even matter for me at all and I'm mad about it

OK, can someone explain to me how an offensive player who scores on an offensive possession (where the offense never lost possession to the defense) is credited only as a defensive player? This does not make any logical sense.

I have know clue either man. As it stands now I'm winning by 2 points. If Gore is awarded the 6 points I'll lose by 4. I'm glad I'm not League Manager.

Offense still has possession. If it was fumbled out of bounds the ball goes to the offense.

CBS league

in the cbs scoring settings, there is a category for offensive recovery TD. If that's not checked he doesn't get credit for this.

In out league witha $600 pot, one of the playoff games ended 62-58. the guy with 58 had gore.it's been a pretty heated debate all day but, the scoring settings have been the same way all season. would not be fair to the guy with 62 to change the scoring now.

BTW: guy with 58 has officially quit the league over this.
