I dont think you should be able to do that....meaning i was under the impression the site wouldnt let you do it.
Are you sure you didnt do it as commish?
I know that espn lets you make lineup changes but cant add a player via waivers for that day once the first game starts.

I asked because I picked up Chirinos (who's off today) but Fantrax said he would be in my lineup for Thursday

I think you have to go through a certain tab to do commish stuff.
I just add/dropped like normal and put him in. Not the first time I've done it.
I don't see the problem. Lineups lock so you can't plug them in for a player who has already locked. You get x amount of pickups. Use them however

yea im pretty sure ive done it before too. I dont see a big deal. The player usually sucks and its fun to see if you can hit on them

Fantrax allows. I did it in TDBL when it subbed Watson for Siegrist.

I got a little lucky against Chat this past week to pull out the 7-5 win. His team went through a serious power drought and only hit 1 HR for the entire week (surprising for a team consisting of McCann, Goldy, Cespedes, Ozuna, etc...). If he had managed just a few more HRs, he would have beaten me in the Runs category and possibly the SLG category. He'd could easily be in 2nd place in the standings right now if not for his team bringing their wiffle ball bats to the park last week.
