Coming to you Fantasy Baseballers for some advice about a keeper league

I actually had a thread similar to this last year but the league never happened...
This year it looks like I am going to have enough people to actually make this work. It is my opinion that the keeper/auction format is the best way to go about Fantasy Baseball and I think my friends are on board.
I was going through how it works and I had a thought that god damn this looks like a lot of work, keeping up with who paid how much for who, how long they've kept them ect... That is a lot to keep up with. Also we will be dealing with the fact that a lot of us live different places so an all in person draft won't happen, which will make the auction process difficult.
Does anybody have any advice on how to streamline all of this so it isn't so much work? Is there a certain template or way of keeping up with this online or something? Also how would a keeper auction draft work if we couldn't all be in the same place? It seems like guys who are face-timing, on the phone, facebook messaging, ect are going to be at a disadvantage and/or it's going to take forever.
Any help is appreciated

There are online auction drafts. Easier than live ones actually.
You don't keep up with anything; that's what the sites are for. At the most, you will have to keep up with money figures if you increase the keepers salary each year.

I guess it seems like it would be complicated to do online draft in this format. It works well?

Online is seamless. Try a mock for like 5 minutes to show you how easy it works.

I'll definitely do that. When do y'all typically draft?

Auction drafts are the most fun, but good lord that draft would last for days.

Usually a week or 2 before the season starts.

In my experience the CBS site is the best for a complete dynasty type league with auction, keeper contracts and even if you have minor league farm system. It's a pay service and worth every penny.
