Read an article that Elliot could play maybe 2 more games before suspension. Thinking about grabbing one of the two guys and McFadden was the guy last year but hasnt done anything this year. Looks like Morris could be the feature back.

Thoughts?

Everything that I've heard on TV says that they fully expect Zeke to play all 16 games and that the league is basically throwing up a Hail Mary. Other than that, I've only heard Matthew Berry talk about the backup situation and he says he thinks McFadden because that's who they prepared to go with in camp.

Except McFadden has been inactive the first two games with Morris as the backup.

I hear ya. Just relaying the only input I've heard on the subject. I would probably stay away from the situation unless you're desperate.

I think if you don't have Zeke then don't worry about it...pretty sure he plays this whole year. If you're hell bent on having his handcuff I would go Morris...but it's not sure thing.

Just from what I heard is they deactivated him because he brings nothing that Zeke doesn't bring. So they deactivated him.

The thought is that is Zeke gets suspended, then McFadden becomes the guy.

That's basically what I heard too then. It wasn't phrased exactly like that, but when you say it like that, it matches what I heard also.

I actually think you and I may have heard that from the same source. But it kinda makes sense.

It actually sounds very similar to what the Panthers have done the past couple years. Cameron Artis-Payne was only active when Stewart was hurt, but when he played he started and put up some good numbers.
