About 1/3 through it and very interesting. Not really an in-depth history book more like really interesting trivia.

Only other book I’ve read of his was A Walk in the Woods which was also well written. Guess I need to read some more of his.

All of his books are worth reading. The Lost Continent and Neither Here Nor There are hilarious. Mother Tongue and Made in the USA are great on the history of the English language. The only one I thought that dragged was The Road to Little Dribbling.

I have read several of his books and always enjoy them. I like reading travel journals and his are usually funny and entertaining. Neither Here Nor There and Notes From a Small Island are two examples.
