I still have some of my dad's Lionel Hebert edition MacGregors, c. 1961.

You left Brian Bateman off the list of great golfers from LA and he is not from South LA either. He played at LSU and won on the PGA Tour. He also is not from Shreveport but from Monroe so the answer to the question is it isn't the only city in LA turning out great golfers and Toms is actually from Monroe as well.

Willie Wood’s dad was the pro at Shreveport CC and Willie grew up there even though he was born in Texas. There were some big money games at SCC prior to the 1980’s oil bust and some good players moved there to take advantage.

265 is the real deal. Lots of really good juniors being developed out there.

Saltwater... You either left off saltwater or you do not know what you are talking about. Outside of Toledo North La blows South La out of the water for freshwater fishing. Fishing is great in both, but I'd take the versatility and variety of the North La waterways all day and twice on Sunday especially this time of year when big flatheads and sacalait are both hitting hard.

I grew up in Shreveport. Its main export is population and depression.

To think Shreveport is awesome, you'd have to be from a shite place like:

Minden definitely sucks

But to say there is NOTHING to do in Shreveport is false. It just is.
