Totally ridiculous that this franchise with like 2 playoff series wins in that stretch.

We're talking about a team that has squandered CP3, AD, and seemingly on its way to Zion

Squandered huh neither CP3 and Davis could be the best player on a championship team.

CP3 is an amazing player but there is only so much a 6'0 guard can take you (unless your the greatest shooter of all time) see CP3 coming up short in big moments game 7 vs the Spurs still makes me mad.

AD speaks for itself needed LeBron to carry him to a Bubble ring now already back to his soft self.

Zion has already shown better ball handling and passing ability to make his team better than AD has ever shown.

So you're saying they made the best of having back to back top 5 players in the league?

Why are you even here?

By the way, the answer to your question is somewhere in between the two opposing ends of the spectrum. It takes almost perfect decision making and circumstances for a small market team to win a championship.

He's not wrong.

We had around, what, 10-12 seasons of AD and CP3. We won 2 playoff series.

We definitely underachieved even by small market standards with those 2 dudes.

CP3 got just as far with New Orleans as he ever did with LA.

The CP3/West/Peja/TC team just couldn't quite finish (frick YOU PARGO), but weren't THAT far off from being a championship team. The AD teams were a combination of the Warriors being the GOATs and Boogie being hurt. AD + Jrue + Boogie + Niko is absolutely a championship caliber squad if not playing against a top 5 team of all time. Not that they necessarily win it all, but they're flirting with it.

My take is that we could not have won a championship with Chris as the best player, but with Davis I thought we could have ! Zion it’s too early to say.

Those AD Pels never had enough health to make any real run.

I’m the opposite honestly

Davis has never shown the ability to be an alpha leader for a championship squad, even now in LA.

I think if the CP3 era had found him better parts and not literally fricked up every draft post CP3 and before Darren Collison(where it was clear at that point CP was pretty much gone) and destroyed the team and the players confidence in the organization prematurely, there was a low probability chance. Not a high one, but in a world where you don’t frick up basically every move, burning every bridge along the way, the most egregious of which was trying to trade Tyson Chandler for spare parts to save money, maybe you are positioned to capitalize on a weird year like 2010 that Dallas won it with none other than Tyson Chandler anchoring that defense.
