Delta jacked up our fence, a lot of the damage consists of the posts being dislodged so the entire thing is leaning.

I was thinking if I can get it straight, brace it, I can backfill the post holes with quickcrete.

However I’m not sure if I’ll be able to push the fence to get it straight. There is nothing in my yard I can connect to (like a come along or something).

Any ideas or experience? Thinking worst case I’ll need more man power to push the fence and as we hold it come in with 2x4 to brace it, keep it there.

You could always take off the pickets and push the post up by yourself.

That’s a good idea.

I think most would break however and the original sections (I added on to it) were installed with a nail gun not screws.

That may still be the most economical route though.

Could you drive a marsh anchor into the ground and come-along the fence posts to it?

It would also be a good time to fasten them all in with screws.

I could give something like that a try.

Get some chain and some rebar and make a ground anchor.

My fence was leaning pretty good after sally. I dug our around the holes and braced it up with 2x4x10s leaned into the ground. Then I filled with more quickrete.

Take it down and build a new one with metal poles.

I fought mine for years and finally got tired of it, my neighbor and I split the costs and did the work ourselves.

Are metal better than 4x4?

That is really slick.

Insurance adjuster is coming tomorrow to look at roof, will see if fence is covered, too.

Any rate y’all have given me some great ideas.

If the metal is aluminum...nothing to rot and metal screws go in like butter. If steel posts, make sure they are hot dipped galvanized. You will rot before they do. Commercial grade carports use galvanized steel posts. The car bends before they do. Home Depot and Lowe's should have aluminum posts. Galvanized steel will be a metal shop or frabricator.
