Was suppose to be in Vegas but not going since fans aren’t allowed at Saints game
I will be at the Bristol Night Race in NE Tennessee Saturday night. NASCAR is allowing fans. I haven’t decided where I will go from there.
Wife wants to beach somewhere. That may not be an option with hurricanes all over the damn place. Hanging out in the Tennessee mountains since we will already be up there Is also an option.
Any vacation spots in the SE US that are enjoyable even with Covid? Young 30’s, our idea of a vacation involves drinking and being outdoors.
I know this is a very broad question/post. Just looking for something that maybe I’ve never heard of as my vacation spots usually revolve around fishing or sporting events.

Just a few ideas.
Google Abingdon and the Virginia Creeper Trail. Haven’t done it but I think they shuttle you up the mountain and you coast down on bikes. Abingdon is just north of Bristol.
Also check out Pipestem State Park in WV. Just north of there near Beckley is the New River Gorge, you could rent a cabin and rafting may still be an option.
Drive north up the Skyline Drive through the Shenandoah Nat. Park. in VA - stop at Luray and tour the caverns. Stay a night at The Inn at Little Washington but it ain’t cheap.
Make your way up to Harpers Ferry; the AP Trail passes through there and it is a small but cool National Park. Get some apple cider at one of the restaurants there.

2nd idea.
Go south & spend 1 or 2 nights each in Charleston, Hilton Head, Savannah, St. Simon or Jekyll Island. Book a trip to Cumberland Island out of St. Marys , GA. Kiawah or Edisto are other options near Charleston.
I’m assuming you are driving from Bristol.
