It's not supposed to be Tex-Mex and you shouldn't go in there expecting that. It's a different take on tacos for the most part, and it's damn good.

Taco Bell, outside the dollar menu, is marginally cheaper. A grilled steak soft taco at Taco Bell is around $2.60. Torchy's tacos are $3-4, bigger, and world's better than Taco Bell. That place sucks. Had some friends say try it and was in collage station so I did. Overpriced Mexican food. Hell even if it was cheap wasn’t all that. Could do far better than this place.
