Well we have no idea about his practice history, that I know of. A partner in a CPA firm can make over $1M a year. Smaller firm or one man shop, likely just a fraction of that but a guy that has practiced 20+ years can make $200-300 an hour. So it's very possible that you could become a millionaire on income alone. Accountants also have some access to private investments.

Again I have no idea what he actually did as an accountant. Just saying it's possible.

But his brother said his job was playing slot machines. I've audited slot machines, there is no way to get rich if you play them habitually, it's a statistical fact.

I think he was into some shady dealings most likely.
