some do, they're called ramp metering devices

While we are bitching about this, an intersection in hammond seems to always have blinking red in one direction and blinking caution in the perpendicular direction. Almost every arse hat in Hammond treats this as a 4 way stop.

Here is where people frick this up.
People on the interstate are suppose to leave room for the people in the onramp to merge. T
The number one cause of traffic is people not leaving room for other to merge. God forbid someone gets in front of them.

The law is very clear and unambiguous on interstates: the vehicle entering the highway or interstate is to yield to vehicles on the interstate. That is the logical procedure. The road with consistent and constant flow doesn’t yield to the lesser flowing on-ramps; otherwise, it wouldn’t be an interstate.

Mover over to the left lane so they can get in, a-hole.
That is both illegal and foolish.
Merge better.
I hit the onramp at 25-30 and make sure I'm doing at least 75 by the end.
Shedding speed is easy, gaining... not so much.

Look, baw. You better get the hell out of my way or I’m just going to shove your arse into the other lane.
And peel that dog dad & mom sticker off your back windshield. No one gives a shite.

Yesterday, some a-hole in a Jeep passed two vehicles and pulled in right in front of me. The line of vehicles in front had been speeding up and slowing down, which is why I had left some space, which Jeepman took as an invitation.
Naturally, the line slowed down as soon as he slid in front of me, so we both had to hit the brakes pretty hard.
375 EAB, I'm looking for you, a-hole.
