He stated he has retired from football. He will not be drafted.

He’s third team at LSU and quit so safe to say he wouldn’t have a chance in hell of being drafted

pretty sure he thought if he cant start here he isnt playing in the NFL. He already graduated so he decided to move on with his life, probably not a terrible decision.

Phil Robertson quit LA Tech because he was more passionate about hunting. I think it's kind of similar here with Myles, he has a cannon of an arm but I just don't get the sense football is his main passion or something he wants to dedicate himself to everyday anymore.

And that's ok. I think he's done with football entirely.

If his heart isn't in it anymore then I agree he should quit. No reason to risk permanent injury over something that you're not into 100%, and it wouldn't be fair to the team.

If he quit because he was giving 100% and didn't win the job then I think he'll regret it. You never know with football, the backup QB is one snap away from getting in the game, and he could take that and run with it.

I think anybody who has been out of high school for three years is technically eligible for the NFL draft, now whether or not he gets selected is a different story.

He was the same HS class as Tua Tagavailoa, who is entering his 3rd NFL season

So yea, he’s eligible af

I've always felt he wasn't always 100% dedicated to football so him leaving really isn't any big surprise. Seems like a great kid but football was never his top priority. Nothing wrong with that

Myles is done with football. Some guys just don’t dream of being a QB in the NFL and that’s just fine. Wish him luck with whatever is next in his life. He’s engaged and ready to move on with his life. Hate it never worked out for him because he looked really solid before he got hurt in 2020. How he was able to throw a football with a torn abdomen for 1/2 a game I have no idea but I’ll always respect him for it.

I was thinking the same thing - if he got the call to come be a camp arm and make $50k and scratched his way onto a practice squad he could squeak out 3-5 years of NFL pay. Danny Etling keeps getting calls. Craig Nall never started for us but made a NFL roster, and that was before practice squads…
