Would you go to Italy right now? Anyone there?

Little context. I’m between jobs through January. Won’t ever have this kind of time to travel again and interested in taking advantage of cheap flights.
Mom grew up in Italy. Would like to take her on a 7 day trip back to her old stomping grounds. She hasn’t been in 10 years.
Both have had COVID. Non-Vaccinated.

Have to be vaccinated to go to the Italy or you are required to quarantine. Was there in September. The customs agent didn’t check our cards in depth but they were checked. Once you’re in Italy, you need your vaccine card at any major attraction.

Where in Italy? The northern part of the country gets pretty damned cold.

Just make sure you have a backup plan. And a backup to the backup plan. Make sure you have a healthcare provider that you can tele health with via internet.

I was just in Italy and they checked for our “green pass” aka US Covid Card for Americans at every place we sat down to eat or was a museum.
I would not go if you’re unvaccinated unfortunately. They used to recognize recovered from Covid to obtain the green pass but that changed with Omicron.
