Really seems reminiscent of Saban in 2000. BK has had 10 different teams finish in the AP top-10! Even our enemies in the media and press seemed stunned that LSU pulled this kind of hire.
And as for the man who says he doesn’t fit the “culture,” let him hear the words of Marcus Spears: “I’ll tell you what fits culturally, when you win football games.”
Big-times props to Scott Woodward for reeling in this big hire.

When I hear that a coach doesn’t fit culturally at LSU or in Louisiana I say “good”
“Fit” is more about providing what LSU needs to be successful. For LSU, given that we have the athletes and support, we need someone that can keep everything in line structurally. That is what Brian Kelly is best at. He’s a great fit.

Me too, I always new he was a very smart man to accomplish what he did at ND with recruiting. There saying he once was a politician, which means he likely is a masterful communicator.
