Gotta keep the recruiting lifeblood, yet when Studs clearly emerge...

The easy answer is try to do both, but will that work enough?

What is your philosophy for the remainder of the season?

I mean “everybody eats” was the mantra for 2019 but who really ate outside of Joe, Clyde, Justin, Jamarr and Terrace? Everybody eats doesn’t mean everyone gets to play. It means we distribute the ball around to the starters

My philosophy is to not substitute in the middle of drives unless there is an injury on offense.

Let everyone eat but substitute between drives.

Exactly. If you don’t sub and run tempo, the defense can’t sub.

I do think it would be good to always have at least one of Boutte, Bech or Smith (assuming what we saw Saturday continues as we expect) on the field as others cycle through. We need to rotate and keep guys fresh and happy, but we also need guys we can depend on out there with them.

Year in, year out LSU has more playmakers on the roster than most other programs. So while I favor an "everybody eats" mentality in general, it especially applies to LSU, because there are a plethora of playmakers that each have unique strengths to contribute.
Keeps guys fresh too.

LSU is going four wide most of the time. With the emergence of #80, I'd prefer to see more 11 and 12 personnel. #80 shows that he can work the field as well as any WR on the team and you get an extra blocker. Defenses will have to commit a nickel or safety to #80, allowing #87 to match up with a LB. They will compliment each other while helping out the run game.
Also, #87 should line up in more of an H-back alignment. Get him moving across the formation on blocks. Opens some H-back lead, counter-trey, etc.

My philsosophy would be “frick it, play the freshmen.”

And Boutte, obviously. He never comes off the field.
