Gulf Shores trip

12 guys, 4 rounds in 3 days is a lot for this old guy. Up all night, every night drinking doesn't help.
My ratings:
Kiva>GSGC>Cotton Creek>Peninsula.
Lunch and conditions at Peninsula were great, layout is a little meh.
My 4 man team won $600. Dont want to touch a club for 2 weeks

I am playing Kiva in 2 weeks….my favorite course in the LA, MS, AL area.

Kiva's greens are perfect. Tha e other 3 had been punched recently but rolled ok

We (8 guys) just got back from Gulf Shores.
We played GSGC on Thursday and it was a swamp.
Kiva on Friday was perfect.
Peninsula on Saturday was excellent.
We were scheduled to play Craft Farms on Sunday but 2 guys played it in the afternoon on Saturday and said it was damn near unplayable.
We moved our Sunday round to Rock Creek. Their greens were unplayable. Seriously they were terrible. We Hwy had been recently punched and they have lost a few. The rate is reduced to $39 but it didn’t make us feel any better to have to close out our trip on a bad course.

I need to go back and play Kiva Dunes again. Last time I played I was so hung over I was ralphing out of the cart. Couldn't even pick up a club until about the 2nd or 3rd hole.

Teetime at 1pm ag rock creek today. Drove in from br on way to gulf shores. Showed up, course closed. Called peninsula, got on for 220. Fought some showers, but got 18 in. Carts on path, but the course was in really good shape, especially considering all the rain.
Hope to be surprised by the weather tomorrow and sat also.

One of our guys is our trip commish. He uses a guy who makes all the tee times. I’ll get the info and post it later today. The 4 rounds of golf was $315 - Gulf Shores GC, Kiva, Peninsula and Craft Farms.
We didn’t play Craft Farms due to course conditions. (We were given one free round at either course, up to $100 value) We paid $39 to play Rock Creek on Sunday.
