ETA: I love that, 12 pages in, everyone is ignoring the post where the gravity feeder is so close to the property line that for animals to eat out of one side they have to be ON the OPs property.

This was my question. Why not put the feeder 20’ in his own property? Then everything he shoots is his?

Isn’t it their actual line too?

We had a similar situation on our lease. Talked to the other guys and let them know they could not shoot onto our lease and if they had to track one on our lease to let us know before crossing over.

We set our 2 cameras to keep them honest.

The OP has been asked several times to take and post pics for us see and judge whether the hunters setup is infringing upon his property. He's failed to do so. As long as his blind and feeder sits on his 10 acres and he's not shooting into neighboring property, he's legal.

What happens if you shoot a deer and it runs on to his 10 acres?

As fate would have it, Ida made a huge mess of that property line and fire break he obviously intended to shoot on. Probably 50 very tall trees down from my side across the line. I doubt I clear that up for a few years. I couldn’t get to his blind to see if one went across it or not.

I will not shoot into his property as he clearly intended to do into mine.

Several posters here who defend this guy are the kind of hunters that make landowners leery of letting people hunt.

Who wants to police their property all season?

You gonna let ol' baw shoot a deer on your place since Ida fricked up his lane? Or has that ship sailed?

nah the guy setting a blind up on the line is a dick. Granted 10 acres is small, so what OP isnt telling us is how close to the line. If its feet away from the line, then yeah the other guy is a dick, if its 20 or 30 yards away from the line, OP is overthinking it

That fate will also give cover to all kinds of deer when the pressure ramps up. Deer, especially bucks, love that downed tree cover.

on the line---zero feet from the line. I thought that was clear. The only real clear shots he would have had would have been down my fire breaks. It was clearly BS to think he planned on hunting his property.

Nonetheless I doubt I have any trouble with him this season.

MS law about recovery is it can be denied by owner until LEO can collect the state's property. Contact your neighbor and ask him to please let you know when he will be hunting for the safety of you both. Also, that you both agree to have wardens retrieve any deer that crosses the property line for safety reasons. If he works for a sheriff department you are gonna get screwed any other way.

Looks like you came here just to vent about a "potential" problem. I feel for you and sorry you are SOL until then. Please be a good neighbor until law gets broken, then you have the full backing of the OB to get his arse.

Piss all around your property adjacent to his stand. Install a random noise maker. Put camera up.

You sound like a fun neighbor. Might want to look up what human urine actually does before you whip it out and get poison ivy or worse.

Its a gravity feeder. The deer would literally have to be standing on my property to eat out of one of the tubes.

I would put up multiple cameras pointed directly as the blind.

Then I would put up walls or piles of limbs in any shooting lanes.

Edit: Now that I see who the OP is, I hope he wears a Trump mask and shoots deer on your side of the line.
