I saw the BB the other day and out then in my cart. Shipping was $31 for one box to Mississippi. I’ll reload the cases I have with 225 grain accubonds.

I have heard so much BS about how bad it kicks and shoots scopes apart etc

My 8 yr old killed 2 deer with a 35 whelen last year. She only weighs about 75 lbs, but she has great form.

That’s exactly what I meant. I am that the ballistics aren’t off the charts but 250 Grain Partitions are like hitting them with Thor’s hammer.

It will shoot scope mounts loose on crappy mounting systems on light guns so the advice to remount is very sound!

My old weaver mounts have held up great over the years.

The old weavers were well made. My suspicion is that those who had such problems were using light weight guns and poorly fit mounts- and cheapass scopes which were poorly maintained (you gotta know the types I hunt with/more testosterone than IQ.)

Mine is built on a 98 Mauser Action, walnut stock. Plenty of weight on it. Between the weight and the pachmayr recoil pad it shoots like a dream.

I actually had to do some scope swapping in a pinch a couple years ago and stuck a cheap VX1 Leupold on there. I ended up liking it on there and so far so good. 50 plus rounds through it and it’s never lost zero.

Go ahead and mount the scope.

Put a $250 vortex on mine and it knocks it off zero. Also loosened screws on the DNZ one piece. Threadlocked the mount screws and switched over to an old Burris 4x that I had. No more problems.
